Abstract

This thesis deals with hard surface layers, based on cobalt-chromium, also called as Stellit their faults, are reflected peeling stellite layer. Practically is analyzed damage the surface layerparts of ball valves after the real operational exposure. The failure of the layer occurred after a very short time, respectively a few cycles of change of position. Therefore, on the samply ofthe ball valve was made a microhardness and SEM analysis on the causes of defects and discrepancies layers each designed to operate at high temperatures and pressures. For analysisin the experimental part were used valves, which is deposited stellite layer which does not meet the parameters for operation.
