Abstract

Monetary Policy of the People´s Republic of China and its Impact on the Economic Stability of the Country

The aim of the bachelor is to minutely outline the monetary policy of the People’s Bank of China between 2007 - 2011, particularly the main tools of the People’s Bank of China such as interest rates, compulsory monetary reserve requirements and open market operations. Furthermore to find out what were the impacts of the changed instruments on selected macroeconomic indicators that characterize the flation of the country (interim growth of gross domestic product, interim change of inflation rate and unemployment rate). The subgoal of the thesis was to analyse the flexibility, success and the lateness in the interference of the People’s Bank of China. The bachelor thesis consists of five parts. The first part covers the introduction, the second part deals with the instruments and intermediary aims of monetary policy. The following part is focused on monetary policy in People’s Republic of China, moreover the carriers of monetary policy of the People’s Republic of China are described, last but not least, the instruments of the People’s Bank of China and non-central political instruments are also mentioned. The fourth part is related to description of the stabilization measures of the People’s Bank of China and analysis of the impacts on selected macroeconomic aggregates. The last part of the paper is a summary of the whole bachelor thesis.
