Abstract
This bachelor thesis deals the basic issues of medical waste management and waste from medical facilities. The individual chapters describe the current issues related mainly to hazardous waste from healthcare. The first part focuses on the basic characteristics of individual types of waste. The second part discusses changes in waste management legislation in recent years. The last part of this bachelor thesis describes some basic methods of dealing with such waste.
