Abstract
This work addresses the issue of non-governmental organizations with the aim to present selected non-governmental organizations, analyse their financial statement, annual report and auditor's report. Methods used – legislation analysis, vertical analysis of balance sheet and profit and loss account, comparison of the identified results, annual report analysis. In the legislation analysis the main changes occurring with new civil code were defined. In the analysis of the financial statements it was determined which of the specific non-governmental organizations performed best regarding the financial management.
