Abstract

This Bachelor’s thesis focuses on the issue of protection of the population in terms of protection to the flood problem. It defines concepts related to the floods, such as flood itself and its structure, concepts of forecasting and warning services and the degree of flood activity. Also, it describes measures to protect against floods. It also deals with the management structure of flood protection. Part of this work also focuses on flood protection planning, assessment of knowledge, and finally the proposal on the protection of towns and villages.
