Abstract
The objective of the Master's thesis is analyzing the influence IT sector has on the economic development of Sri Lanka. The thesis is focusing on integration of the war-affected northern part of the country and its economic development. First part consist of the influence IT sector has on the economy of Sri Lanka, later on consist of analyzing the competitiveness of this sector in a global market. The last part analyzes the influence on development of the northern provinces.
