Abstract

The doctoral thesis work, Comparing Methods for Evaluation of Real Estates Affected by Mineral Extraction, compares two basic methods for evaluation of real estates, namely the administrative and market ones. It specifically deals with the real estates in the Czech Republic that have been affected by mineral mining. Not only a comparison of the methods has been a sole motive of this doctoral thesis work but it has been also oriented by an objective to provide for a unified and transparent method of market evaluation of the real estates affected by mining, which method currently does not exists in the Czech Republic. The comparison was performed for some Czech real estates of mineral mining unreserved claim. The paper reviews methods that might be used for the purpose of evaluating real estates affected by mineral mining. It analyses the methods and suggests which might be used for the purpose of the market evaluation of these special real estates. Also the ensuing legislative initiatives are suggested, concerning establishment of a unified and transparent method of evaluating real estates affected by extraction of minerals.
