Abstract

The thesis deals with the classification of the dangerous substances and mixtures in accordance with the European Parliament and the Council regulation No. 1272/2008 (CLP regulation) and compares the current procedures for classification with the procedures of the previous classification. The first part is the introduction of basic concepts and methods of classification according to Directive 67/548/EEC on the approximation of laws, regulations and administrative provisions relating to the classification, packaging and labeling of dangerous substances (DSD), and then to explain the changes and the adoption of CLP and its impact on the classification of substances and mixtures. The practical part is about implementation the CLP classifications for selected substances and mixtures for the purpose of reclassifying these substances for BorsodChem MCHZ, s.r.o..
