Abstract

Internet has become an integral part of our everyday lives: we shop on it, look for entertainment, watch films, listen to music and also search for companies that are able to provide the service we need. When doing so, people usually go through only a few first links found by the search engine, which makes it extremely important for a company to have their link on the highest place possible. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to optimize the website of René Švancara’s roofing company so that it would appear among the top links. The first part of the thesis is concerned with a theoretical description of SEO (Search Engine Optimization) methodology, be it permitted techniques, or not. In the second part, the initial presentation, as well as the presentations of rival companies, are analyzed. The last part of the thesis suggests specific changes necessary for improvement, including the extension of textual part of the website and making use of key words.
