Abstract

Ceramic materials have excellent mechanical and physical properties and are therefore used in various technical fields. This thesis is studying composite materials based on Si3N4. At this dokument describes the distribution of ceramics and its known properties , and in detail described ceramic materials Si3N4 and MgSiN2. In the experimental part of the thesis is examined hardness and fracture toughness of the composite materiál Si3N4 + MgSiN2 the composition 50 % Si3N4 and 50 % MgSiN2 using the Vickers indentation method.
