Supervisor of thesis Ing. Miroslav Mynarz, Ph.D. The goal of this bachelor thesis was to evaluate resistance of polycarbonate riot shields. The theoretical part of the thesis describes use of shields in the past and at the present. At the same time it states used construction and material of standart riot shield. The practical part contains methods and means used for the analysis. The conclusion is dedicated to damages caused by thrown objects and mechanical weapons. This section contains as well a detailed photodocumentation of results of each test.
