Abstract

The object of this thesis is to examine impact of institutional environment on the economic growth. This thesis is based on the universal assumption of the school of institutional economics and focuses on the quality and development of institutional environment and its impact on economic growth in V4 countries. Data are taken from the World Bank Database and covering years 1993 - 2014. Methods used in this thesis are comparison and literature review. Conclusions of this thesis is, that institutional environment is determinant of economic growth but varies in different countries and it is not wise to find institutional environment as an only existing determinat of this growth.
