Abstract
This master’s thesis focuses on the evaluation of the employee selection and adaptation process in a selected organization. The aim of the thesis is to analyze and describe the current recruitment and onboarding system, identify potential shortcomings, and propose measures that will lead to increased efficiency of these processes. The thesis is divided into two parts.
The first, theoretical part defines the issue of human resource management with a focus on employee recruitment, selection, and adaptation based on relevant academic literature. Emphasis is placed on the recruitment process, selection methods, the onboarding process, and its importance. The theoretical part also includes research methods and the methodology of sociological research.
The second, practical part initially focuses on the introduction of the selected organization, its history, and organizational structure. Subsequently, the current state of recruitment and onboarding processes is analyzed, and the results of the questionnaire survey are presented in the form of graphs. The practical part is based on data obtained through an anonymous questionnaire and semi-structured interviews with the HR manager, a line manager, and an employee.
Based on all collected data, specific recommendations are formulated in the conclusion of the thesis, aimed at improving and optimizing the employee selection and adaptation processes within the organization.
