Abstract
In the Czech Republic to date in the operation of six nuclear reactors at two nuclear power plants , around 190 hospitals and many other radioactive waste . We produce about 450 tons of waste per year, per capita about 45 grams. Both Czech nuclear power plant Dukovany and Temelin annually produce nearly 100 tons of spent nuclear fuel . The question is: „How to deal with this waste?“
This bachelor thesis discusses the solutions to radioactive waste and spent nuclear fuel into the near-surface and deep geological repositories . The aim is to familiarize with existing storage and project future repository, which will be stored highly radioactive waste produced by nuclear energy in the Czech Republic.
