Abstract

This thesis is focused on strengthening mechanisms of creep resistant nickel based alloys. Theoretical part deals with alloying elements influence on the microstructure of nickel superalloys. Next are summarized the individual phases that are found in the structure. In conclusion, the problem of the strengthening mechanism itself is described. The aim of the experimental part is to evaluate the change of nickel superalloy IN 738LC microstructural characteristic. In the experiment were compared changes in structure of initial sample with structure of sample that was exposed to high temperature after long period of time. In the end the volume of strengthening precipitate phase and hardness changes were evaluated.
