Analýza a návrh zmien využitia Project Management Office v IT podniku

Abstract

The diploma thesis is focused on the Project Management Office in the IT company PosAm, spol. Ltd. and examines its importance and quality for project management. The aim of the master thesis is to evaluate the current management of projects in an IT company through PMO and set out its own proposals for changes and improvements of PMO that would lead to a quality and efficient project management. An integral part of the thesis is to create an analysis of the current state of project management by the questionnaire. Based on the results of questionnaires analysis, there are suggestions created to improve project management using PMO. In addition to the suggested steps, problem areas where PMO can fail are explained in the work that can fail and avoid them. A Kerzner maturity model is also developed to measure the quality of the current PMO in comparison with expected PMO. Additional information is then provided by a staffing model that defines the jobs for the PMO unit in the company.
