Abstract

This thesis was written with continuity on problems solving use of ionic liquids for sequestration of carbon dioxide. Quinoline, isoquinoline and 1, 2, 3, 4-tetrahydroquinoline were processed with 1-butylbromide (1-hexylbromide) by quaternization with microwave irradiation. The obtained halide salts were converted to tetrafluoroborates and trifluoroacetates by metathesis reactions. The resulting ionic liquids (ILs) were characterization by UV-VIS and IR spectroscopy. Melting points of newly preparated ILs was determination too. Furthermore it was determinated solubility of ILs in water, acetone and n-hexane. It was study stability of aqueous solutions selected ILs and it was determination of molar conductance solutions selected ILs. Hydrolysis was observed for tetrafluoroborates solutions.
