Komparace ekonomik Evropské unie – členské a nečlenské země eurozóny

Abstract

The aim of this diploma thesis is to evaluate impact of the introduction of the euro on macroeconomic stability and quality of life of people in the euro area in comparison with other member states of the European Union, where euro is not adopted as their national currency. The reference period is 1999-2010. The comparison is implemented according to the criteria of James Angresano and the selected method is comparison.

The theoretical part is focused on the description of comparative economics, its objectives, history, principles and criteria of comparison. Furthermore this diploma thesis is focused on the description of the macroeconomic situation in the European Union.

The practical part of diploma thesis deals with the comparison of the states of European Union, which adopted the euro as their national currency and other member states of European Union, which did not adopt the euro. For comparison is used system of comparison criteria by James Angresano.
