Abstract
The aim of this thesis is to analyze and assess the tax and benefits system with a view to supporting families in the Czech Republic and Poland.
In this work were used description methods, comparison, analysis and deduction. The results were compared also based on the effective tax rate. Social benefits were compared primarily through methods of analysis and dedukce. Based on these methods, it was found that families in the Czech Republic have significantly greater financial support from the state than in Poland, where they have multiple benefits system, but the amount is significantly lower than in Czech Republic.
