Abstract
Cartels are considered as particularly harmful in the most developed countries. They represent one of the issues that law competition must face.
The aim of this Bachelor´s thesis is to explain the implementation of competition policy primarily in cartel cases. Responsible for the competition policy are the European Commission and the Czech Office for the Protection of Competition.
The thesis deals with the internal market of the European Union, especially the completion of the internal market, four freedoms, the Single Market Act I and the Single Market Act II. It also deals with the importance of protection of economic competition in the EU. Attention is also paid to the principles of regulation of cartels in the European Union and the Czech Republic.
