Abstract
This diploma work deals with the introduction of residential sprinklers. Preliminary there are performed important points in the development of sprinkler system. A part of the work is attends to fire statistics in residential buildings. Major part of this work devotes to standards of residential sprinkler system, especially NFPA 13D and NFPA 13R. There are also benefits of residential sprinklers, problems with the installation and economic costs in the work. The purpose of this work is to introduce the residential sprinklers and to establish the possibility of application in the Czech Republic.
