Abstract
The thesis is dedicated to a solution for an extension of residential attic in a family house. Further included is a calculation of the load, a static assessment for all the roof frame elements, and a proposition and evaluation of joints in the frame. One of the parts in the thesis is also devoted to a static assessment of an existing shed for cars; an alternative solution is proposed for unsatisfactory results revealed by the assessment.
