Abstract

This thesis is focused on experimental study of interaction of equally large bubbles, in countercurrent flow of different types of liquids with different viscosity (0,000 9 – 0,035 0 Pa.s), surface tension (0,02 – 0,07 Nm) and concentration. All experiments were carried out in original apparatus, where the most important part is glass conical channel where the bubbles are observed into two perpendicular projections. Exact position of all observed bubbles is available after primary data treatment via image analysis in-house code. Resulting maps of probability density function of relative individual positions of each bubble in all kinds of tested liquids are main primary result obtained here. Engineering correlation of relative position and inclination angle from direct vertical position are presented too. It is evident; that relative bubble position when trailing bubble exactly follow leading bubble is not probable for range of tested bubble sizes and quality of liquids.
