Abstract

The thesis is focused on the use of mine water as a possible alternative source of drinking water due to adverse climatic changes. In the first, theoretical part, we deal with the general processes of water treatment capabilities and characteristics of membrane processes with a focus on electrodialysis. In the second, experimental part, we focus on the pre – treatment of mine water from the area of the North Bohemian Coal Basin and its subsequent modification by electrodialysis, by which the water is treated on the basis of the appropriate quality of water for the preparation of drinking water. The final part of the thesis evaluates and compares the results of measurements that determine whether the thresholds of physical, chemical and organoleptic indicators for drinking water were achieved.
