Abstract

The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to create a mask of the Japanese goddess Inari as faithful to the original as possible using the gravity casting method into a sand mold. The theoretical part of the work focuses on religion, specifically Shintoism, and Japanese mythology. This section describes the basic principles of the main religion of the Land of the Rising Sun, deities, demons, some legends, and real events associated with them. The practical part describes the creation of the future mask model, the production of the bronze casting mold, the final processing of the finished cast, and its embellishment using ornamental features.
