Mediální obraz dopadů olympijských her na konající zemi

Abstract

The partial aim of the thesis is the characterization of the individual social and economic aspects of the organization of the Olympic Games and the impact on the organizing city. The subsequent aim is to discover a media image of these impacts on the example of a particular Olympics in selected Czech daily newspapers. The first chapter deals with the context of the organization of the Olympic Games. The theoretical knowledge about the effects of the Olympic Games is used in the second chapter, which includes quantitative content analysis. The analysis is based on the example of the Rio games held there in 2016 and the picture of their economic and social impacts in the daily newspapers Mladá fronta DNES, Sport and Hospodářské noviny. In the third chapter the problem is applied to four media genres. The third chapter consists of an journalistic article, interview, questionnaire and review.
