Abstract
This bachelor thesis deals with evaluation of electrochemical properties of selected mild steels. The theoretical part is focused on description of mild steels, types of mechanical degradation, types of corrosion and methods of corrosion protection. The theoretical part also deals with influence of high temperature on corrosion properties of mild steels. The experimental part deals with metallographic analysis of selected steel grades, hardness measuring by Vickers test and influence of high temperature on electrochemical properties of studied steel. For experimental part there was steel type ČSN 12 0221 chosen. Samples of this steel were provided by company TAMEH Czech L.t.d.
