Abstract
In my graduation thesis, I explore the characteristics of municipal solid waste in Ostrava and its composition, further in the theoretical part are described technology sorting of house hold waste and the possibility of its energy use. In the practical part deals with the identification of conditions for optimal feed composition and the preparation of solid alternative fuels in the form of pellets. At the conclusion of the workis the proposal of a technological process for the treatment of mixed municipal waste for " the plant on the processing of biodegradable waste in Ostrava" using the final product for energy purposes.
