Abstract

Waste management is a very wide area, an important part of which is the issue of waste management. Emergencies and crisis situations, due to their extent and severity, generate a significant amount of waste. This work describes the current state of waste management, which arises during emergencies and crisis situations, especially focusing on the implementation of waste management legislation and crisis management. It characterizes selected types of anthropogenic emergencies and crisis situations that have been identified as hazards with unacceptable risk, the types of waste they generate and their management. Subsequently, foreign experience and methodologies in the field of dealing with waste arising from natural disasters are described. The conclusion of the work is an evaluation of the state of the problem.
