Analýza českého maloobchodního trhu

Abstract

Main idea of my thesis was to analyze retail sector in the Czech Republic. My main focus was to present the overall review of the retail market and its evolution since 1989 in Czech Republic. I took a close look at the entrance of international chains, their beginnings, profits and size of the market share. I have also put together a map of independent retailers and its size, evolution and regional differences in retail market. Secondary idea of my thesis was to take a close look at the consumer preferences of what retail format or type works for them the best. In my last part of my work I focused on market trends that we are able to see in Czech retail market.
