Abstract

This thesis deals with the comparison of the terrestrial laser scanning method with commonly performed measuring methods used in quarries. Based on the measured and received data, computational and graphical outputs of the course of mining in the quarry were performed and a comparison of the advantages of using individual methods in the quarry was performed. The introductory parts of the thesis address the issue of laser scanning and processing of collected data into a point cloud. The central part of the thesis comprises of the calculation of volumes and the conclusion of the thesis comprises of the comparison of the advantages of individual methods in quarry work.
