Abstract

The diploma thesis is focused on the valuation of an investment project, specifically a photovoltaic system, under risk conditions. The aim of the diploma thesis is to evaluate the effectiveness of electricity production through a photovoltaic system installed on a selected family house. The methodological part of the thesis describes the theory and importance of investment decision-making and introduces and characterizes the selected investment. In the application part of the thesis, methods for evaluating the effectiveness of investment projects under risk are applied. For comparison purposes, two versions of the project, differing in their financing methods, are developed. Based on assumptions and input data, the project's cash flows are estimated, total free cash flows are calculated using simulations, and the probability distribution of the investment payback period is constructed. In the final part of the application section, risk analysis is performer throughout the sensitivity analysis.
