Abstract

This bachelor’s thesis deals with the topic of landslides in the territory of the former Severomoravský (North-Moravian) Region. With regard to the huge number of these slope deformations in this region, my work mainly focuses on landslides in the Moravskoslezský (Moravian-Silesian) Region. My work deals with areas which, as wholes, are of highest importance from the point of view of landslides, but it also offers a more detailed analysis of four landslides. Within the framework of this topic, I also created the statistics of all landslides in the Moravian-Silesian Region which are recorded at the website of the Czech Geological Survey – in the Geofond Archive. I did so mainly in order to gain an overview of the overall number of landslides which can be found at the Czech Geological Survey website. A guide to technical excursions for the students of VŠB - Technical University Ostrava was also drafted and it may serve as the basis for all participants of the field trips. In this guide, students can learn about the basic geology and geomorphology of the area of interest in general, as well as of the individual landslides. The guide also offers a plan of a field trip to the sites of selected landslides and to two interesting museums, all of this in the Moravian-Silesian Region. Students take part in this field trip within the course Methods of Rehabilitation of Natural Formations in which they may use the information obtained from the guide and during the field trip.
