Abstract

The master’s thesis is focused on designing a camera system based on the IP technology for an ice arena complex. The first part of the thesis describes the requirements on camera systems from a legal and technical point of view, and the issues of privacy. The second part deals with the description of the technology, its individual components and their characteristics. The main part of the thesis is aimed at the description of the specific ice arena complex, the risk analysis, the actual design of the IP camera system, the selection of the components and the economical evaluation of the three variations of the IP camera system.
