Big GeoData na příkladu dat z mobilních telefonů

Abstract

Big GeoData is a concept that has been overwhelmed in recent years in connection with the development of supercomputers and a great deal of emerging data. Data from mobile phones relate to most of the developed country population and are therefore a good foundation for sociological or demographic research. The data used in this work was published in the Big Data Challenge competition and includes aggregated data for two months in 2013 from Milan, Italy. The paper examines the spatio-temporal behavior of residents and foreigners moving in the city using animations, cartograms or time graphs. The result is a set of tasks that complexly penetrate a set of data and seek to gain interesting insights into the spatio-temporal behavior of the population. The results can be applied, for example, for mapping of city tourism, targeted advertising, urban planning, public transport planning or crisis management.
