Abstract

This thesis focuses on the chest radiograph, namely the specifics of the chest X - ray and the algorithm of x - ray evaluation by a doctor. The graphical user interface, which has been designed in the MATLAB environment, allows for editing of selected images, which means the filtration and brightness transformation of the image with the option to save and load the image parameters, the actual description of the image and to save the image in any format. After adjusting in the MATLAB environment, the image is further processed by the means of the FOTOM system, in which the objects of interest are localised and evaluated. Finally, statistical evaluation of the results of treatment of a selected group of patients of the field of tuberculosis and respiratory diseases in the Moravian - Silesian Region is performed, which leads to a complex diagnosis and evaluation of the image.
