Abstract

Možnosti cestovního ruchu v Ostravě Diplomová práce popisuje možnosti cestovního ruchu města Ostravy, formuluje její turistické atraktivity z oblasti kultury, sportu, zábavy a zaměřuje se na její průmyslové dědictví. Práce vyzdvihuje technické památky jako jednu z významných možností a směrů, jakým by se cestovní ruch města měl v budoucnu ubírat. V teoretické části se uvádí základní charakteristiky cestovního ruchu, jeho historický vývoj, rozvoj a význam pro člověka. Swot-analýzou práce ukazuje, které oblasti cestovního ruchu jsou pro město Ostravu silnými stránkami a také jaké příležitosti a hrozby mohou naopak město postihnout. Marketingový výzkum je zaměřen na posouzení, jak veřejnost vnímá Ostravu jako destinaci cestovního ruchu a zda má podvědomí o ostravských technických památkách. Výsledkem analýzy jsou doporučení obsažená v pěti prioritních bodech (životní prostředí, infrastruktura, atraktivity, lidské zdroje a propagace města) a výsledky prováděných výzkumů jsou graficky zpracovány.

Possibilities of Tourism in Ostrava This thesis describes the possibilities of tourism in Ostrava city, formulates its touristic activities in area of culture, sports and entertainment and focus on its industrial heritage. The thesis emphasizes sights of technical history as the most significant options and directions, in which the development of tourism should be orientated. In the theoretical part of this thesis, the fundamental characteristics, historical development, and importance of tourism for public are named. Using the SWOT analysis, the thesis indicates which areas of touristic development are strong points for Ostrava city and by what opportunities and threats the development can be affected. Marketing research is focused on assessment, whether the Ostrava town is considered as possible touristic destination by public and whether the public is aware of presence of technical sights in Ostrava. The results of this analysis are recommendations embodied in five points of certain priority: (environment, infrastructure, attraction, human resources and the propagation of the city). The results of conducted researches are elaborated in graphic form.
