Abstract

This diploma thesis focuses on designing a study and leisure center for Charles University located in the Troja district of Prague. The goal of the design is to create a comprehensive facility that provides students with spaces for both study and relaxation. The proposed center combines academic spaces with leisure activities, such as a swimming pool and a gymnasium. A key feature of the design is a new public space between the buildings, intended as a meeting place for students, faculty, and the public, offering a space for relaxation and the sharing of inspiration. The project aims to revitalize the university community and bring a new dimension to the daily life of the campus.
