Abstract

This work deals within the literary analysis with the effect of the chemical composition on the microstructure of centrifugaly cast rolls with work layer made of HSS. Volume fraction and morphology of the eutectic carbides is being analysed, as well as with the influence of the microstructure on their wear resistance. Another part of this work is the comparsion of residual stress levels and creep after the uniform heating quenching and the non-uniform heating quenching on the basis of the FEM simulation.
