Abstract

The main purposes of the thesis were to point out the problem of the conflicts between road transport and animals, to analysis possible impacts of the traffic infrastructure on the specific kinds of vertebrates in the Moravian-Silesian region and to offers an overview of the possible measurements for decreasing and minimizing of the conflicts and connected mortality of the protected kinds of vertebrates. General influences and impacts of the road transport on the countryside and its biota are summarized in the first part of the thesis. The second part is concentrated on the endangered species of the vertebrates. The last part contains the main measures for the protection of the specific group of vertebrates, names modern trends in the sphere of the animals’ protection and introduces practical steps implemented in the Moravian-Silesian region during the construction of the highway D47.
