Vliv pandemie COVID-19 na systém sociálního zabezpečení v České republice

Abstract

The subject of Bachelor thesis was pandemic impact assessment of COVID-19 on social security system in Czech republic. The main goal of the final work was the evaluation of pandemic impact on number of cases of payment of selected doses of the social security system, specifically two selected doses payed within health insurance, namely sickness and nursing. Bachelor thesis was structured to 5 chapters including introduction and conclusion. In the practical part the main emphasis was put on explaining the concepts of social policy, social security and social rights. Within the practical part the effect of the pandemic COVID-19 on total revenue and costs of the social security system in Czech republic was investigated and the correlation analysis was performed. In the first part between the number of sickness benefit cases and the number of people with COVID-19 desease for the period from 2020 to 2021. The second part of the correlation analysis was focused on relationship analysis between the number of nursing benefit cases and the evolution of the number of people with COVID-19 desease for the period from 2020 to 2021. The results of the correlation analysis for the sickness benefit showed, that the number of sickness benefit payment for the years 2020 and 2021 is relatively heavily correlated with the number of additions of people with proven COVID-19 desease. In contrast, a relatively weaker negative correlation could be seen with the nursing dose.
