Abstract
The diploma thesis examines labour migration in selected member states of the EU and its influence on labour markets of those states. The influences of labour migration flows on labour markets have been assessed on basis of analysis of Community acquis regarding free movement of workers and labour migration patterns in Europe. Concerning the analysis, attention has been paid to both migration patterns in Europe as whole and specifically to Poland, one of the biggest source states of migration on the continent. The initial chapter of the thesis focuses on labour migration from the general point of view. The internal market, labour markets and the free movement of persons in the EU are presented. The second chapter deals with the free movement of workers as part of EU law framework, moreover, the freedom of providing services and establishment covered as well. The last chapter analyses labour migration patterns in the EU and selected countries in the perspective of labour markets of above mentioned countries. The special attention is paid notably to Poland.
