Geoparky České republiky

Abstract

This bachelor's thesis aims at acquainting its reader with Geoparky in the Czech Republic, as well as introducing and explaining terms, such as geoparks or geotourism. They try to get to know them what the geopark is, what is the geography of the geopark, what is the history of the entire territory that the geopark is now, describe the objective of each geopark, why they work at all, what they have to do, as well as important places of all the mentioned geoparks, which are something interesting, important or historically valuable for each geopark separately. The most important part of the bachelor thesis is an excursion, which is devoted to the separate chapter Excursion to the Jeseníky Geopark. There is a description of the exact way to go wherever it goes, how long it will take, how long it takes to walk and the bus that is booked all day excursion, what is the terrain, my personal photos from the places. The first stop is Rázovské tufity, another place is Velký and Malý Roudný, lava streams, Venus's volcano and the last Uhlířský vrch. In this order, it is planned to gradually visit the site.
