Abstract

The goal of this bachelor thesis is to familiarize with the issue of technology of VoIP signaling protocols, communication and signaling between these protocols. Specifically, I have dealt with signaling protocols H.323, SIP and MGCP. In these protocols is discussed the architecture, the process of communication and the types of signaling which the protocols are using for communication. After describing the different protocols, this part of chapter is summarized and these protocols are compared here. The next part of this work is devoted to the software PBX Asterisk, in which I described a method of installation under Ubuntu distribution of Linux operation system. Then, this part of the work deals with configuration and setup this PBX to protocols H.323, SIP, MGCP and their communication in the network. Except the PBX, I also dealt with the Gnu Gatekeeper, which was used in the work to support the H.323 channel in Asterisk PBX. The final chapter deals to setup the software client Yate , which was used for communication between Asterisk PBX and Gnu Gatekeeper.
