Abstract
The aim of this thesis is a simulation of transients in ATP- Draw program. In the first part there is described, what the electric arc in its core is, in mathematical and physical concepts, it means its characteristic, structure and its behavior. In next chapter transients in the circuit are mentioned – mainly the turning on of circuit and its turning off, the circuit is placed in the contacts. Practical part of this thesis contains simulation of listed transients in ATP-Draw program. There is stated specifically Cassie´s and Mayer´s theory of electric arc during the turning off.
