Abstract
Thesis includes evalution of changes of mechanical and plastic properties in the time interval. Metallographic evaluation of given rolled, drawn and annealed wires, requiring the evaluation of surface defects, grain size and segregation was carried out. It is basically a way of monitoring the possible of aging process. As from investigation results follws, in case of the low carbon steel C10C none important development of aging processes was detected daring the aging time interval of 0 – 500 hour. From the reached results of the stress vs. strain diagrams of the both studiet C10C steels (drawn, annealed) a moderate increasing tendency of strength properties was found. After artificial aging (1 hour/100 °C) the reached results no changes of strength properties showed, as well. As it follows from the investigation results of the studied steel types none important changes were detected during the aging processes.
