Abstract

The subject of the thesis " Micro Simulation Model of the Intersection Opavska - Sokolovska– Porubska in Ostrava-Poruba " is to analyze the safety and the traffic flow of this intersection in Ostrava – Poruba with using Micro Simulation Model and suggest some measures to increase the traffic flow and safety. The first part of the thesis deals with traffic engineering and monitoring, and icludes a video analysis of conflict situations, from which the data of traffic intensity, structure of traffic flow, directional traffic flow control and conflict situations were obtained. The second part deals with the actual creating micro simulations models and proposals to improve the flow and safety. This part includes a draft amendment of the existing shift lanes and adding new separate shifting lanes. The last part of the thesis includes an analysis of data from PTV VISSIM.
