Zprovoznění městské ČOV po povodních

Abstract

The diploma thesis focuses on the process of commissioning the municipal wastewater treatment plant, which was adversely affected by a substantial wave of floods in September 2024 within the city of Opava, to the extent that the wastewater treatment plant was compelled to be decommissioned. The thesis delineates the evolution and reconstruction of the treatment plant, commencing with its construction and culminating in the present era. Next, the thesis provides an overview of floods and related prevention strategies, then smoothly transitions to a discussion of flood occurrences in relation to regional weather developments. It also outlines the steps required to commission the various components of the treatment plant. The thesis concludes with recommendations for preventive measures aimed at minimising the impact of future floods.
