Porovnání dvou platforem pro serverovou virtualizaci

Abstract

This dissertation is focused on the comparison of the software virtualization platforms vSphere and Hyper-V by VMware and Microsoft companies. They are the current leaders in server-based virtualization. This document is divided into two parts: a theoretical and a practical one. In the theoretical part, a short research of virtualizations platforms is given, followed by the description of basic features of both virtualizations platforms - vSphere and Hyper-V. At its end, there is a comparison of both platforms based on their features. In the practical part, particular procedures of installation and configuration are described. Also a prepared methodology for the testing of virtual environments is included here. At the end I deal with my own performance tests and comparison.
