Konverze přádelny na polyfunkční dům

Abstract

The aim of my thesis entitled as The Conversion of Spinning Mill into Multifunctional Plaza is a draft of an architectural project in Brno – Obřany. This draft also contains a solution of the adjacent public space with a layout plan for premises, including interior design and many construction details.

Based on urban design the current site; a former textile factory; should turn into a cultural and leisure center with ample space for living and business. Thanks to its location and the absence of any similar facility in Brno – Obřany can be this former building complex considered as a new plaza in this location. This location is a junction of public and boating routes as well as roads with proximity to the Moravsky Kras and a good access from the city of Brno. All those factors add an importance to this beautiful place and increase it`s attractiveness to visitors of all ages.

Hence the effort was to create a new plaza in Brno – Obřany, a centre which can be used for recreation as well as shopping.
